How process projects work: For Clients

Once you have been added to a project it will show on your project dashboard. If you don't see any projects here, your agency is probably still getting everything together to share this with you.

Once you can see a project in your dashboard:

  • To access a project, click on the tile on the dashboard.

Each project within your workspace has it's own dashboard to provide a simple overview of what's happening on the project.

  • Project Info: A summary overview of the project work or scope. You can also clic this summary for a more detailed view and more information.
  • Resources: This section is meant to house important documents such as the scope of work, design files, staging links, or briefing materials.
  • Progress: This is an overview of the work in each phase that has either been completed or is upcoming work.
  • Updates: A quick way to get a handle on what work has been completed, messages and new tasks. It's designed to be a way to get up to speed on the project if you haven't been involved in the project for a few days.

About phases

In each project, your agency will divide up the work into phases. This should give you an overview of the general process you'll have to go through for project completion. Within each phase, your agency will be able to add tasks, which will show on the left. Tasks break down each phase into bite-size sections which keeps things manageable. There is also the ability to mark steps off as you go, which makes it easy to see where the project is up to.

How do I know what to do next?

Your agency should let you know what they need from you in the task itself, task discussions or in the main messages area of the project. If you haven't heard anything yet, they're likely still getting everything ready to share.

What are discussions?

Each step has its unique discussion thread. It's important to add questions/feedback/info to the discussion on the correct step. This keeps everything easy to find for your agency and yourself! This is likely where you will receive questions or information from your agency.

How do I finish a step or mark it off?

Your agency will set an action for each step — this might be complete, approve, next etc. You will need to perform this action to access the next step. To do this:

  • Either hit the circle on the left of the step title or the checkbox on the top right-hand side of the step. This will mark the step as complete.
  • You can follow the same steps to undo this

  • If your agency is asking for an 'approval' you can do this by either marking the task off in the circle check mark or you can click the approve button

Once all tasks in a phase are marked off, the entire phase will show as complete on the dashboard. You can then move on to the next phase if the agency has shared this with you.
