If you accidentally close the page or navigate away, return to the same place in Outlign and open the composer again. Your draft should still be there.
You’ll need to use the same computer and browser where you originally typed the message, as drafts are saved locally to that device.
What if my draft isn’t showing?
There’s a chance the draft is still stored in your browser but isn’t appearing in Outlign. If you’re comfortable using Chrome Developer Tools, you can check by following these steps:
Open Chrome Developer Tools.
Go to Application.
Under Local Storage, select the Outlign website.
Look for a key beginning with
outlign/autosave/.Select the relevant row and check whether it contains your draft message.
If you’re unsure how to do this, someone with technical experience may be able to help.
Can the Outlign team recover it?
Unfortunately, we can’t recover an unsent message from our end. Until a message or comment is sent, it isn’t saved to Outlign’s system.
If the draft isn’t available on the original computer and browser, it may not be recoverable.
